Macmillan Cancer Support
Supporting university teaching

Macmillan Cancer Support asked us to to develop a website to support the course in Health Information Services Management which they were developing in partnership with the University of Central England.

The course enables participants to provide effective information services to support the patient and those affected by illness.

Learning is through a mixture of taught sessions and working at a distance.

 

Energy Training 4 Europe
Suite of internet-based learning tools

Energy Training 4 Europe enables small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and local government organisations to assess their organisations energy efficiency and compliance with EU legislation on energy-related environmental issues.

In collaboration with a number of European universities and the IMechE, we have developed a suite of innovative internet-based learning and reference tools.

The sites provides information, guidance and training on EU energy legislation, energy conservation and renewable energy.

 
   

St Mary's NHS Trust
Providing Statutory and Mandatory training

St Mary's NHS Trust has used Training TrackerTM to create a suite of training modules to meet their Statutory and Mandatory obligations for junior doctors indcution.

Following successful initial trials, the scheme is currently being rolled out to cover nurses too.

Representatives from St Mary's presented their experience to the Training Tracker User Group Meeting held at Darwin College during November 2006.

       
 

Intetrain
Meeting new European standards

The Intetrain project is developing a toolkit to facilitate flexible, integrated, vocational training for SME employees in the machinery and equipment manufacturing sectors.

The training content is based on common EU regulations, industry standards and best training practice and includes training covering all legal requirements.

The training makes use of a combination of learning methods including innovative information and communication technologies, tutoring, practical exercises and online evaulations. The materials will be available in four languages.
